This intricate pattern is actually easier to make than it looks! Using the spike stitch, the "tracks" down the hat are created on the same row as the 2nd stripe.
The yarn is carried along throughout the hat so you only have to weave in the beginning and end tails.
Although I've used natural colors for my Nature Walk Beanie, you could make this in contrasting colors and make the stripes and tracks really pop!
